Hadith 5254

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ , عَنْ أَيُّوبَ , عَنْ نَافِعٍ , أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ وَجَدَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَعْنِي بَعْد مَا حَدَّثَهُ أَبُو لُبابةَ , حَيَّةً فِي دَارِهِ , فَأَمَرَ بِهَا , فَأُخْرِجَتْ يَعْنِي إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ .
Nafi said: After that, that is, after Abu Lubabah had mentioned him this tradition, Ibn Umar found a snake in his house; he commanded regarding it and it was driven away to al-Baqi'.

Benefits and Issues:
The greatest virtue of the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum) was precisely this: that once the command of the Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) became known to them, they would never show any reluctance towards it in any way. All the people of faith should be like this.
