Hadith 5223

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ , حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ , حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ , أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى حَدَّثَهُ , أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَهُ , وَذَكَرَ قِصَّةً , قَالَ : " فَدَنَوْنَا , يَعْنِي مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَبَّلْنَا يَدَهُ " .
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: Ibn Umar told a story and said: We then came near the Prophet ﷺ and kissed his hand.

Benefits and Issues:
This narration is indeed weak, and the detailed story has already been mentioned previously in Hadith 2647. However, the ruling remains that it is permissible to kiss another person's hand or body as a gesture of honor and respect, as is coming in the following hadith.
