Hadith 5121

Jubair bin Mutim reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: he who summons others to party-spirit does not belong to us; and he who dies upholding party spirit does not belong to us. ’

Benefits and Issues:

This narration is weak in its chain of transmission.
However, the hadith in Sahih Muslim (1848) suffices in this regard.
As our esteemed researcher has clarified in the research and referencing section regarding this matter.

Supporting and defending merely on the basis of tribalism and for falsehood is impermissible and haram.
But partisanship (asabiyyah) for Allah, His Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), and for the religion and faith—

is a praiseworthy act.
Whoever’s heart contains love for Allah and His Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) but does not also contain anger and displeasure against those who oppose them, should rectify his faith.
The hadith: (al-hubbu fi Allah wa al-bughdu fi Allah min al-iman) (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Faith, Chapter: The Statement of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) “Islam is built upon five,” before hadith no. 8) — Loving for Allah and hating and being displeased for Allah is the essence of faith and its necessary requirement.
Those who present themselves as extremely unbiased in religious matters—
to the extent that even when the religion and faith are being torn apart, there is no fervor in their blood—
such people should reassess their faith.
