Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone lies on his side where he does not remember Allah, deprivation will descend on him on the Day of Resurrection; and if anyone sits in a place where he does not remember Allah, deprivation will descend on him on the Day of Resurrection.

Benefits and Issues:
The blessings of the Hereafter and the ranks there are countless and immense.
A servant will feel regret at that time, wishing that he had not wasted any opportunity and had remained engaged in abundant remembrance (dhikr) and worship (‘ibadah).
Similarly, the punishment and retribution there are unimaginably severe.
So a person will regret, wishing that he had saved himself from it by worshipping.
For this reason, one of the names of the Day of Judgment is also "Yawm al-Hasrah" (the Day of Regret).
In the Noble Qur’an, Allah the Exalted says:
"And warn them of the Day of Regret" (Maryam: 40) — O Prophet! Warn these people of the Day of Regret (the Day of Judgment).

Benefits and Issues:
The special characteristic of sincere believers is that they are always engaged in the remembrance of Allah, as the statement of Allah the Exalted says: (الَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَى جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ) “Those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth” (Aal-e-Imran: 191). This does not mean that a person should neglect his obligatory duties and merely sit with prayer beads in hand; rather, according to the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), to recite the prescribed supplications at their appropriate times is itself abundant remembrance (dhikr kathir).
