Benefits and Issues: And whoever died in such a state that he was free from shirk (associating partners with Allah), then for him is the promise of Paradise. The noble statement of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is: “Whoever dies while knowing that there is no deity except Allah will enter Paradise.” (Sahih Muslim, Book of Faith, Hadith: 26) Whoever died in such a state that he had certainty in La ilaha illallah (there is no deity except Allah), then he will enter Paradise. In Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whoever dies while associating anything with Allah will enter the Fire (Hell).” Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radi Allahu anhu) says, and I say: “And whoever dies without associating anything with Allah will enter Paradise.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Funerals, Hadith 1238 and Sahih Muslim, Book of Faith, Hadith: 920)

´Farwah bin Nawfal (ra) narrated that:` He came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: “O Messenger of Allah, teach me something that I may say when I go to my bed.” So he said: “Recite: Say: ‘O you disbelievers’ for verily it is a disavowal of Shirk.” Shu`bah said: “Sometimes he would say: ‘One time’ and sometime he would not say it.” (Another chain) from Farwah bin Nawfal, from his father: "That he came to the Prophet (ﷺ)" then he mentioned similar in meaning. And this is more correct. [Abu `Eisa said:] And Zubair reported this hadith from Ishaq, from Farwah bin Nawfal, from his father from the Prophet (ﷺ), with similar wording. This is more appropriate and more correct than the narration of Shu`bah. The companions of Abu Ishaq were confused in the narration of this hadith. This hadith has been reported through routes other than this. `Abdur-Rahman is the brother of Farwah bin Nawfal.

Explanation: 1: The researched point is that Furwah's father, "Nawfal al-Ashja'i," is a Companion (Sahabi). Further on, the author is mentioning this hadith from the Musnad of Nawfal through various chains of transmission; that is the correct view.
