Hadith 4937

Aishah said: We came to Madina and stayed with Banu al-Harith bin al-Khazraj. She said: I swear by Allah, I was swinging between two date-palms. Then my mother came down; and I had my hair up to the ears. The transmitter then rest of the tradition.

Benefits and Issues:
These days, some modern thinkers and self-styled reformers, who consider themselves to be renewal-minded, raise many objections to these hadiths and to this marriage and wedding at a young age (minor age).
They deny it in various ways, even though there is no real reason for this denial.
These people should study the medical, social, regional, and geographical conditions and circumstances with careful consideration, and it will become clear that in certain situations and in some regions, it is not surprising at all for girls of this age to reach puberty, and then passing through the natural stages of family life is not something unusual for them.
In this incident, it should especially be kept in mind that this marriage was conducted to grant Abu Bakr as-Siddiq radi Allahu anhu further closeness and honor with the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
So that he would not face any difficulty in coming to the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam at any time.
And so that his connection and relationship with the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would become even deeper.
Furthermore, the basis of this marriage was those dreams which were repeatedly shown to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
These dreams were an indication that the marriage of Sayyidah Aisha radi Allahu anha to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had been decreed.
These hadiths are authentic, and the event is, from a historical, legal (shar‘i), and jurisprudential (fiqhi) perspective, absolutely correct and the very truth; its denial is, in reality, a step towards the denial of hadith itself.
