Hadith 4902

Narrated Abu Bakrah: The Prophet ﷺ said: There is no sin more fitted to have punishment meted out by Allah to its perpetrator in advance in this world along with what He stores up for him in the next world than oppression and severing ties of relationship.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
Benefits and Issues:
The meaning is that rebellion and transgression (oppression and excess) and severing of kinship ties are two crimes such that, in addition to the punishment in the Hereafter, Allah Ta’ala generally gives their punishment quickly in this world as well.
Therefore, one should avoid severing kinship ties and also avoid oppression and transgression.

Benefits and Issues:

It is extremely necessary to avoid oppression and excess, because one of the important qualities of Islam is justice and mercy.

The punishment for oppression and mistreatment of relatives is given both in this world and in the Hereafter, whether the oppression is committed against a human being or an animal.
