Narrated Anas ibn Malik: The Immigrants (Muhajirun) said: Messenger of Allah! the Helpers (Ansar) got the entire reward. He said: no, so long as you pray to Allah for them and praise them.

Explanation & Benefits

Benefits and Issues:
Along with verbal and practical gratitude and thankfulness, an important action is that a person should make supplications (duas) for his benefactor.
That is, one should not merely utter words of thanks with the tongue, but should say supplicatory phrases such as, "May Allah Ta'ala grant you the best reward."
In addition, one should also continue to make special supplications for one's benefactors in their absence.

Explanation:
1:
That is, as long as you continue to supplicate for good on their behalf, these supplications of yours will be in recompense for their good deeds,
and you will receive the reward for it,
and these very supplications of yours will be a substitute for the effort and hardship they endured for your sake.
