Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
Benefits and Issues:
➊ During the Battle of Banu Mustaliq in the 5th or 6th year of Hijrah, the hypocrites unleashed a tremendous slander against Sayyidah Aisha radi Allahu anha, which became a source of extreme distress and pain for her, the Messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and all the other believers. However, its outcome was exceedingly joyful in that sixteen verses were revealed declaring her innocence (Surah An-Nur, verses 11 to 26), which will continue to be recited in her praise and commendation until the Day of Judgment.

➋ In this incident and narration, the attribute of speech (kalam) of Allah Azza wa Jall is mentioned.

➌ The aforementioned incident was a created event (hadith), but the speech (kalam) of Allah is not created (ghayr hadith).
