Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
Benefits and Issues:
➊ He was created in accordance with what was in Allah’s knowledge for him—that he would commit disbelief.

➋ Every Muslim should remain concerned about his own final outcome, and should always seek refuge from a bad end and supplicate for goodness and felicity in the end: (اللَّهُمَّ أَحْسِنْ عَاقِبَتَنَا فِي الْأُمُورِ كُلِّهَا وَأَجِرْنَا مِنْ خِزْيِ الدُّنْيَا وَعَذَابِ الْآخِرَةِ) “O Allah! Make our outcome the best in all matters, and save us from the disgrace of this world and the punishment of the Hereafter.”

Shaykh Maulana Abdul Aziz Alvi
Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: This child was born upon sound natural disposition (fitrah salimah), but if he had remained alive, by sitting in a corrupt environment he would have adopted disbelief (kufr). Out of love for him, his parents, accepting his behavior and manner, would have themselves fallen into rebellion and disbelief. Allah, by the blessing of their righteous deeds, bestowed mercy and kindness upon them and caused this child to die. And we have already explained that Allah has knowledge of that which has not occurred—if it were to occur, how it would occur.

Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
Benefits and Issues:
➊ The meaning of "he was created as a disbeliever" is precisely that, by utilizing the free will entrusted to him by Allah, he was destined to commit disbelief, and this was already known to Allah.

➋ The fascinating story of Khidr and Musa (alayhis salam) is found in Surah Al-Kahf, and its details are present in the two Sahihs.
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Tafsir, Hadith: 4725; Sahih Muslim, Fada'il, Hadith: 2380)

➌ Khidr (alayhis salam) was endowed with special knowledge from Allah and was assigned certain tasks, therefore no analogy can be made regarding him.
