Hadith 4615

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى : " وَلِذَلِكَ خَلَقَهُمْ سورة هود آية 119 ، قَالَ : خَلَقَ هَؤُلَاءِ لِهَذِهِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ لِهَذِهِ " .
Khalid al-Hadhdha, asked al-Hasan about the Quranic verse: “And for this did He create them. ” He said: He created these for this and those for that.

Brief Explanation
1؎ : “He created these for Paradise and those for Hell”—this does not mean that: if Allah had not written it, then those whom He wrote for Hell would have entered Paradise by doing good deeds, and vice versa. Rather, its meaning is that those whom He created for Hell, if nothing had been written in their destiny, it would not have been possible for them to enter Paradise. These people, since they were only going to do evil deeds—which Allah knew (because His knowledge is the same for past, future, and present)—therefore, He wrote on the basis of His knowledge. It is not that by writing, these people became compelled.

Benefits and Issues:
The meaning of "created for it" is also that Allah had knowledge of it at the time of creation or even before it.
The matter of the Hereafter depends solely and exclusively on the knowledge and decree of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic.
