Hadith 4335

A similar tradition has also been transmitted by Ibrahim (al-Nakha’l) through a different chain if narrators. I (Ibrahim) said to Ubaidat al-Salmant: Do you think that his one of them, that is al-Mukhtar (al-Thaqaff)? He said: He is from the leaders.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
Benefits and Issues:
Although this narration is weak in its chain of transmission, enjoining good and forbidding evil is a collective obligation (fard kifayah) of the Ummah.
If there is negligence, heedlessness, or turning away in fulfilling this duty, it is a great tribulation (fitnah), and if the Caliph of the Muslims (Khalifat al-Muslimin) has to fight for this purpose, it is justified, just as Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq radi Allahu anhu did.
Therefore, in this context, these ahadith have been mentioned in these chapters.
