Benefits and Issues:
➊ The Dajjal is such a dangerous tribulation that all the prophets warned their nations about him. We too have been taught a supplication to seek protection from him, to be recited regularly in prayer, in which it is explicitly stated:
اللهم إِني أعوذُ بِك...
...و أعوذُ بك من فتنةِ المسيح الدجَّال...
...etc. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Supplications, Hadith: 6368)
➋ By the blessing of faith (iman) and Islam, a Muslim will be able to read “kufr” (disbelief) written on his (the Dajjal’s) forehead.
➌ The Dajjal will be blind in one eye. The detail and frequent mention of this defect is because he will claim divinity, and one who is not able to remove his own defect cannot in any way be considered worthy of being called a deity. Furthermore, from this it is inferred that Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has two eyes, as befits His majesty. The statement of Allah, the Exalted, is: (There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing) [ash-Shura 11]. None of the creation is like Him. In the Noble Qur’an, the mention of the eye for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, is present:
(a) (And be patient for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are under Our eyes) [Qur’an reference].
(b) (And We carried him [Noah] on [a ship] of planks and nails, sailing under Our eyes as a reward for he who had been denied) [Qur’an reference].
(c) Regarding Musa (alayhis salam), it is said: (And I bestowed upon you love from Me so that you would be brought up under My eye) [Ta-Ha 29].
➃ On the Dajjal’s forehead, “k-f-r” (disbelief) will be written, which every believer will be able to read. It is possible that these very letters will be written, or the intended meaning is metaphorical—that his appearance will be so filthy and ominous that the believers will have absolutely no difficulty in recognizing him as a liar and deceiver. And for the believer, this is a great blessing of his faith, that he is granted special insight in his religious matters, which can never be harmful to his faith in any way.
