Narrated Zayd ibn Aslam: Ibn Umar used to dye his beard with yellow colour so much so that his clothes were filled (dyed) with yellowness. He was asked: Why do you dye with yellow colour? He replied: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dyeing with yellow colour, and nothing was dearer to him than it. He would dye all his clothes with it, even his turban.

Benefits and Issues:
➊ Here, by "yellow color" is meant "dars"; it is a yellow-colored grass that somewhat resembles saffron.
➋ The noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum) preferred to emulate the Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) even in their habits, and lovers of the Messenger should be the same. However, the situation is now deteriorating greatly, as people pay no heed to the obligatory acts (fara'id) and religious duties (wajibat) of the Shari'ah.
