Narrated Umm Salamah, Ummul Muminin: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite: "In the name of Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; most Gracious, most Merciful; Master of the Day of Judgment, " breaking its recitation into verses, one after another. Abu Dawud said: I heard Ahmad (b. Hanbal) say: The early reading is: Maliki yawmi'l-din.

Benefits and Issues:
This narration is weak in its chain of transmission; however, its meaning is correct because the same matter has been mentioned in other authentic ahadith, that in the recitation of the Noble Qur'an, it is necessary that one should pause at every verse and recite with deliberation.
Reciting extremely quickly and not pausing at the verses is contrary to the Sunnah method.
