Hadith 3921

Narrated Saad ibn Malik: The Prophet ﷺ said: There is no hamah, no infection and no evil omen; if there is in anything an evil omen, it is a house, a horse, and a woman.

Benefits and Issues:
If there is any ill omen or bad luck, then it is possible only in the aforementioned things, but even this is not certain.
This is contrary to the belief that was prevalent in the era of ignorance (Jahiliyyah).
If a mount, wife, or house is not beneficial in matters of religion and worldly life, then there is no harm in replacing them.
To keep a disagreeable and troublesome mount as a constant headache for oneself, or if the wife is quarrelsome, does not serve, and is not supportive in religious matters, then to continue nurturing constant sorrow and distress is not appropriate. Similarly, if the house is cramped, the environment is bad, and the neighbors are not good, then to remain stuck in such a situation is in no way advisable.
