Narrated Abu Salih Zakwan as-Samman: A man from Aslam tribe said: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. A man from among his Companions came and said: Messenger of Allah! I have been stung last night, and I could not sleep till morning. He asked: What was that? He replied: A scorpion. He said: Oh, had you said in the evening: "I take refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He created, " nothing would have harmed you, Allah willing.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
Benefits and Issues: The original Shar‘i (legislated) and Sunnah amulets are these supplications (adhkar) which connect the servant to his Lord, and a person comes under the protection and security of Allah. The fundamental aspects among them are faith, certainty, lawful sustenance (rizq-e-halal), and truthfulness in speech. And these supplications should be recited regularly both in the morning and evening, and children should be blown upon (ruqyah) with them; the practice of writing them and hanging them came much later. There is no evidence of this in the era of the best generations (khayr al-quroon).
