Benefits and Issues: In other authentic narrations, these words are found: that ruqyah (incantation) is for the evil eye, fever, or a poisonous sting. Furthermore, it is established from authentic ahadith that ruqyah, which consists of the Names of Allah and prescribed supplications, is beneficial for all ailments. Their importance and effectiveness are greater in cases of the evil eye and poisonous stings.

Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Ruqyah is only for the evil eye or for a scorpion's sting."
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit: In Sahih Bukhari, this is narrated as a mawquf (statement of a Companion). It is also understood from this that seeking ruqyah (spiritual healing) due to the evil eye or fever is Sunnah.
