Narrated Saad: I suffered from an illness. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to pay a visit to me. He put his hands between my nipples and I felt its coolness at my heart. He said: You are a man suffering from heart sickness. Go to al-Harith ibn Kaladah, brother of Thaqif. He is a man who gives medical treatment. He should take seven ajwah dates of Madina and grind them with their kernels, and then put them into your mouth.

Benefits and Issues:
Note: Although this narration has a weak chain of transmission, there are numerous authentic ahadith regarding the healing properties of ‘ajwah dates. Among them is the narration of A’ishah (radi Allahu anha), which is recorded in Sahih Muslim (al-Shurbah, Hadith 2048).
Secondly, the mention of ‘ajwah dates as protection from poison and magic appears in the next hadith, which is narrated in both Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.
However, the preparation of medicines and their use with appropriate diets is a matter of expertise; therefore, it is necessary to consult a skilled physician.
