Benefits and Issues:
Benefit: If the first letter "seen" in "soos" is read with a fatḥah (zabar), then it will be a verbal noun (masdar). By this is meant a date or grain that has been infested by a worm or the like. If the first "seen" is read with a ḍammah (pesh), then it refers to the worm itself or a similar small creature. The meaning is that the date or grain does not become impure (najis) due to being infested by a worm or the like. And as much as possible, it should be cleaned and then used. In this, the humility (tawadu‘) of the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is also mentioned, that there was no arrogance in him.

Benefits and Issues:
➊ A gift should be accepted, even if it appears insignificant.
➋ Even the smallest item of food is a blessing from Allah; therefore, it should be valued.
➌ If a spoiled item can be fixed and used, it should be consumed rather than wasted.
➍ If a part of a fruit is spoiled, instead of throwing it away, the spoiled part should be separated and the good part should be used.
