Abu Hurairah reported: A bedouin entered themosque while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting. He offered two rak'ahs of prayer, according to the version of Ibn Abdah. He then said: O Allah, have mercy on me and on Muhammad and do not have mercy on anyone along with us. The Prophet ﷺ said: You have narrowed down (a thing) that was broader. After a short while he passed a water in the corner of the mosque. The people rushed towards him. The Prophet ﷺ prevented them and said: You have been sent to facilitate and not create difficulties. Pour a bucket of water upon it.

380. Commentary:
➊ If impurity comes upon the ground or other solid materials (such as stone, glass, wood, etc.), it is sufficient to remove the actual impurity and, in the case of urine, to pour water over it; there is generally no need to scrape off the soil.
➋ It was the practice of the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum) to perform the prayer of greeting the mosque (tahiyyat al-masjid).
➌ Supplications should always be comprehensive and encompassing.
➍ In dealing with ignorant people—especially in matters of religious instruction—one should act with compassion.

Benefit:
From this hadith, it is established that one should ask Allah for the greatest and most expansive things, because Allah Himself has said:
﴿أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ﴾ (Al-Baqarah: 186) “I respond to the call of the supplicant whenever he calls upon Me.”
From this hadith, it is also established that an impure place can be purified by pouring water over it.
This hadith also shows that the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) implemented Islam among the Bedouins with good character.
This hadith also demonstrates that Islam is an easy religion.
