Benefit: That is, such matters whose truth is established from the Qur'an and Hadith should be stated with certainty.
Or if it is something of a historical nature in which there is a possibility of truth or falsehood, then it may be mentioned.
But it cannot be affirmed with confidence.

they should be rejected.

Benefit:
In this hadith, the permissibility of narrating the incidents of Banu Isra'il is mentioned. It should be noted that the narrations of Banu Isra'il are of three types:
➊ Such narrations that are in accordance with the Qur'an and Hadith.
➋ Such narrations about which our Shari'ah is silent. Narrating both of these types of narrations is permissible; there is no harm in it.
➌ The third type consists of those narrations that are contrary to the Qur'an and Hadith, or the Qur'an and Hadith have rejected them, or they have been abrogated. Narrating these is not permissible.
Furthermore, in this hadith, it is declared unlawful (haram) to lie upon the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). From this hadith, there is a severe condemnation of those scholars who narrate fabricated and invented reports among the people. The religion is the name of the Noble Qur'an and authentic ahadith; false and weak narrations have no connection with the religion.
