Hadith 3661

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ سَهْلٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " وَاللَّهِ لَأَنْ يَهْدِيَ اللَّهُ بِهُدَاكَ رَجُلًا وَاحِدًا خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنْ حُمْرِ النَّعَمِ " .
Sahl bin Saad reported the prophet ﷺ as saying: I swear on Allah, it will be better for you that Allah should give guidance to one man through your agency than that you should acquire the red ones among the camels.

Benefits and Issues:
Benefit: In this hadith, there is a great virtue for the caller (da‘i), the preacher (muballigh), the teacher (ustadh), and the mentor (murabbi). This scope encompasses one’s own children, dear ones, relatives, circle of friends, and even unfamiliar students and listeners.
Therefore, the obligation of enjoining good (amr bil-ma‘ruf) and forbidding evil (nahy ‘an al-munkar) should be fulfilled in every way, by word and by deed, and in all circumstances.
