Hadith 3642

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَزِيرِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ ، قَالَ : لَقِيتُ شَبِيبَ بْنَ شَيْبَةَ فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سَوْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ يَعْنِي ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَعْنَاهُ .
The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Abu al-Darda through a different chain of narrators to the same effect from the Holy Prophet ﷺ

In this chain, Shabib bin Shaybah is majhool (unknown). See [تقريب التهذيب: 2741]
Or, it is possible that what is meant is Shu'ayb bin Ruzayq, who, according to the preferred opinion, was a hasan al-hadith (acceptable) narrator. See the treatise [تقريب التهذيب 2؍117 ت 2801]
