Narrated Muhayyisah: The she-camel of Bara ibn Azib entered the garden of a man and did damage to it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave decision that the owners of properties are responsible for guarding them by day, and the owners of animals are responsible for guarding them by night.

Brief Explanation
1؎: That is, if the she-camel caused damage to the orchard at night, then the owner of the she-camel will compensate for that damage; and if the damage occurred during the day, then the owner of the orchard must bear that loss, because the protection of the orchard was his own responsibility.
