Narrated Abdullah ibn Masud: I Ammar, and Saad became partners in what we would receive on the day of Badr. Saad then brought two prisoners, but I and Ammar did not bring anything.

Benefits and Issues:
If two, three, or more laborers make an agreement among themselves that whatever they earn will be shared among them, this is called *shirkah al-‘amal* (partnership of labor).
Imam Malik,
Sufyan al-Thawri,
and the Hanafi scholars hold this view.
There is also a narration from Imam Ahmad permitting it.
