Narrated Ibn Abbas: That the sister of Uqbah bin Amir took vow to walk on foot to the Kabah. Thereupon the Prophet ﷺ ordered her to ride and slaughter a sacrificial animal.

In a vow (nadhar) related to Hajj of this kind, it has been declared obligatory to offer a sacrifice (qurbani).
And it is said that it is recommended (mustahabb), even if the one who swore the oath is weak and incapable.

This narration has already been mentioned in Hadith number 3293.
In that narration, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) instructed him to fast for three days.
And in this narration, the mention is of offering a sacrifice in place of fasting.
The narration in which fasting is mentioned is weak.
And this narration regarding sacrifice is authentic.
Shaykh al-Albani has also declared it preserved in al-Irwa (8/218 to 221).
