A similar tradition has also been narrated by Ibn Abbas through a different chain of transmitters to the effect as narrated by Sulaiman saying: "in two garments".
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
Benefits and Issues:
➊
Since a man in the state of ihram does not cover his head, nor does he use perfume,
and he only wears two garments,
therefore the question arises: in the event of his death, what should be done with him?
The answer to this is found in the aforementioned hadiths.
➋
It is better that the pilgrim’s (muhrim’s) own ihram garments be made his shroud (kafan).
Otherwise, another shroud may also be given.
Because there are narrations supporting both practices.
