حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُسْتَمِرُ بْنُ الرَّيَّانِ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَطْيَبُ طِيبِكُمُ الْمِسْكُ " .
Narrated Abu Saeed Al Khudri: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: The best of your perfumes is musk.

1906. Commentary: The objection regarding musk (kasturi) could be that musk is actually the blood of the deer, the use of which is not permissible. However, when something is naturally transformed and its original effects are completely eliminated, its ruling changes. Musk, in any respect, does not retain the characteristics of blood; therefore, its ruling will be different from that of blood. Blood itself is produced from food, but it does not take the ruling of food. Similarly, grains and vegetables are produced from soil and dung, etc., yet the ruling of their origin is not applied to them.

It is permissible for women to wear gold, but the use of gold and silver utensils is prohibited for both men and women because it is absolutely unnecessary, and its only purpose is pride and ostentation.
