Narrated Abu Hurairah: Banu al-Harith bin Amir bin Nawfal bought Khubaib. Khubaib killed al-Harith bin Amir on the day of Badr. Khubaib remained with them as a prisoner until they agreed on his killing. He borrowed razor form the daughter of al-Harith to shave his pubes. She let it to him. A small child of her crept to him while she was inattentive. When she same, she found him alone and the child was on this thigh and the razor was in his hand. She was terrified and he realized its effect on her. He said: Do you fear that I shall kill him ? I am not going to do that. Abu Dawud said: Shuaib bin Abi Hamzah transmitted this narrative from al-Zuhri. He said: Ubaid Allah bin Ayyash told me that the daughter of al-Harith told him that when they gathered for killing him, he borrowed a razor from her to shave (his pubes). She lent it to him.

Brief Explanation
1؎ : So, he bought them in exchange for a hundred camels so that he could kill them and thus avenge his father's murder.
2؎ : Because in Islam, it is not permissible to kill an innocent child.
3؎ : Then those disbelievers crucified Khubaib radi Allahu anhu at Tan‘eem, which is outside the boundaries of the Haram. Khubaib requested enough respite so that he could perform two units (rak‘ah) of prayer, and the disbelievers granted him this respite. He performed two rak‘ah, then recited these verses: «فلست أبالي حين أقتل مسلمًا على أي جنب كان في الله مصرعي وذلك في ذات الإله وإن يشأ يبارك على أوصال شلو ممزع» (When I am killed as a Muslim, I do not care on which side I fall. My being killed is for Allah; if Allah wills, He will bless every torn joint and limb.)
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
Benefits and Issues: When a sick person realizes that his final time has arrived, then he should take care of his outward cleanliness and purification. That is, he should trim his nails, cut his moustache, and clean his armpits and the area below the navel, so that when he is presented before Allah, his body is also a manifestation of the prescribed purification (sunnah taharah). However, if a person near death is unable to clean his hair and so on, then he should be left as he is in his current state. Because after death, there is no command established from any hadith regarding such cleaning. Most likely for this reason, Imam Malik and others have counted it among the innovations (bid‘at).
