Abu Humaid Al Saeedi said “I went to Tabuk on an expedition along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When he reached Wadi Al Qura, he found a woman in her garden. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his Companions “Assess (the quantity o fruits). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ assessed ten wasqs. ” He said to the woman “Count the produce of it. We then came to Tabuk. ” The monarch of Ailah presented a white mule as a gift to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He presented a cloak as a gift o him and wrote a document for his land at sea coast. When we came to Wadi Al Qura he said to the woman “How much is the produce of your garden?” She replied “Ten wasqs which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had assessed. ” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said “I am going quickly to Madeenah if any of you intend to go quickly with me, he should make haste. ”

Benefits and Issues:
➊
This woman’s orchard was most likely established by cultivating barren land,
which was then considered her property.
And this is a commendable deed.
The ruler of Eila had accepted obedience.
Therefore, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) granted the ruler of Eila his territory in writing, and also that they would pay jizyah (tribute).
➋
It is permissible to estimate the yield of fruit before it is harvested,
so that the appropriate amount of ‘ushr (tithe) and the like can be paid accordingly.
➌
The estimation made by the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) turned out to be absolutely accurate,
which is a miracle.
The estimations of other ordinary assessors are certainly subject to increase or decrease.
➍
It is permissible to accept a gift from a non-Muslim,
provided there is no legal (shar‘i) objection.
➎
After fulfilling one’s purpose during travel, one should hasten to return home.

Hadith Commentary:
Tābah is a name of Madinah Tayyibah, and the love of Mount Uhud is real and based on reality. Allah Ta‘ala is capable of creating perception and feeling in every thing of the universe. The statement of Allah Ta‘ala is:
"Everything in the universe glorifies Allah, but you do not understand their glorification." ( Bani Isra’il: 44: 17)
Since this hadith mentions the Battle of Tabuk, Imam Bukhari rahimahullah has mentioned it here.
And Allah is the One whose help is sought.

Hadith Commentary:
Taab and Tayyib are both names of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, which are derived from the word "Tayyib," meaning purity; that is, this city is pure in every respect.
It is the center of Islam, and here rests the Prophet of Islam, the greatest guide, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
The government of Saudi Arabia, may Allah support it, has rendered such services in the cleanliness, purity, and development of this city that will remain a memorable example for the world until the end of time.

Hadith Commentary:
(1)
There are several names of Madinah Tayyibah which indicate its honor and status:
Tābah and Tayyibah—their derivation is the same, because it has been declared pure from shirk (polytheism) and innovation, and its atmosphere and climate have been made pleasant.
Some of its names are as follows:
• Al-Madinah • Al-Mutayyibah • Al-Maskinah • Al-Dar • Majboorah • Munirah • Mujabbah • Mahbubah • Qasimah • Al-Iman.
(Fath al-Bari: 4/115)
In other historical books, many more names have been mentioned in addition to these.
(2)
Some scholars have stated the reason that the one residing in Madinah Tayyibah finds a pure fragrance from its soil and its walls.
According to us, its purity is that the area between the house of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and his pulpit in the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid Nabawi) has been declared a garden from the gardens of Paradise; what could be more pleasant than this? (‘Umdat al-Qari: 7/578)

Benefits and Issues:
The things that the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam pointed out during the expedition of Tabuk manifested exactly as he had indicated. The incident of the spring of Tabuk has already been mentioned in the previous hadith. In this hadith, there is mention of the quantity of dates in the garden and the fact that, out of compassion and goodwill for his companions, he expressed kindness towards them and instructed them to take a precautionary measure: that a strong wind would blow at night, so no one should get up alone, and that they should tie the knee-ropes of their camels securely. However, due to necessity, two men were unable to adhere to this instruction. One got up to relieve himself, and during this time, he was nearly strangled. The other man went out in search of his camel, and the wind threw him between the two famous mountains of Banuti. When the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was informed, he said: “Did I not forbid you from going out alone?” Then, by the supplication of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the one who was nearly strangled regained his health, and the other, when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam returned to Madinah, came and met him. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam then mentioned the virtue of the Ansari households, based on their precedence in accepting Islam and their striving and efforts for the elevation of the word of Allah, giving first rank to those who became Muslim earlier and were at the forefront in Islamic services, and then mentioned the subsequent ranks on this basis.

Fiqh al-Hadith:
On the occasion of the Battle of Tabuk, when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said:
«اما إنها ستهب الليلة ريح شديدة فلا يقومن احد، ومن كان معه بعير فليعقله»
"Tonight there will be a very strong wind, so no one should stand up. And whoever has camels should tie them."
↰ The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said this by the revelation of Allah. Allah had already informed him of this incident beforehand. The noble Companions radi Allahu anhum received news of the coming wind before it arrived, but no one, on the basis of receiving this news, considers the Companions to be 'Knower of the Unseen' (Alim al-Ghayb). So how can it be correct to establish the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam as 'Knower of the Unseen' merely because he received information from Allah? Whereas Allah has clearly stated in the Noble Qur'an, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself has clarified in his statements repeatedly, that knowledge of the unseen is exclusive to Allah; no one besides Him knows the unseen!
