Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: The Prophet ﷺ gave az-Zubayr the land as a fief up to the reach of his horse when he runs. He, therefore, made his horse run until it stopped. He then threw his flog. Thereupon he said: Give him (the land) up to the point where his flog has reached.

Benefits and Issues: This narration has a weak chain of transmission. However, in the previous hadith 3069 and in the narration of Sahih al-Bukhari, it is mentioned that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) granted some land from the wealth of Banu Nadir to Zubair (radi Allahu anhu). (Sahih al-Bukhari, Kitab al-Fard al-Khums, Hadith: 3151) Perhaps it is this very land.
