Narrated Abu Bakr: Abut Tufayl said: Fatimah came to Abu Bakr asking him for the inheritance of the Prophet ﷺ. Abu Bakr said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: If Allah, Most High, gives a Prophet some means of sustenance, that goes to his successor.

Benefits and Issues:
➊ This hadith is of the level of hasan (good).
And Allamah Khattabi says that those scholars who state that after the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, four-fifths of the khums (one-fifth of war booty) belongs to the caliph,
their evidence is based on this narration.

The wisdom behind there being no inheritance in the wealth of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is that no doubt should arise in the hearts of people regarding him, that the real purpose behind his claim to prophethood was to accumulate wealth and riches.
