Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
Benefits and Issues:
Whatever the explanation of this bribe may be, it is unlawful.
This also includes the unlawful taxes imposed by present-day governments.
After being collected, these are spent on the rulers’ frivolities.
Governments do not reduce their unlawful expenditures.
But they continue to impose such taxes on the public day after day.
It is true that nowadays, it is impossible to run a government or a country without taxes.
That is why a justification for taxes has been established for governments.
But this justification does not at all mean that they should eliminate their unlawful expenditures and continue to impose indiscriminate taxes on the public.
This manner and method of taxation is clear oppression.
There is no justification for it.
