Brief Explanation
1؎: It was the custom of the Arab disbelievers that one tribe would be an ally of another tribe, and each would assist the other whether in right or wrong. Thus, it is stated that in Islam, there is no consideration for the kind of alliances and covenants of disbelief.

Benefits and Issues:
Islam has made its adherents brothers to one another.
As Allah the Exalted says:
(إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ) (Al-Hujurat:10) The believers are but brothers.
Thus, it is obligatory that they live as one soul and one body.
They no longer have any need to make artificial agreements as was done in the pre-Islamic era.
Rather, this matter is a fundamental element of their creed and practice.
Nevertheless, whatever agreements were made before this,
Islam strengthens and affirms them on the basis of goodness and righteousness.

Hadith Commentary:

Benefits and Issues:
➊ The size of the moon, whether small or large, is not taken into consideration.
➋ What is considered is (sighting).
➌ The day on which it is sighted will be counted, and if the horizon is cloudy, then it will be according to that very day.
