Hadith 2811

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا أُسَامَةَ حدَّثَهُمْ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَانَ يَذْبَحُ أُضْحِيَّتَهُ بِالْمُصَلَّى وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَفْعَلُهُ .
Narrated Ibn Umar: The Prophet ﷺ used to slaughter his sacrificial animal at the place of prayer. Ibn Umar used to do so.

It is recommended (mustahabb) that the imam, in particular, perform the sacrifice (qurbani) at the Eid ground (eidgah).
