Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: I witnessed sacrificing along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the place of prayer. When he finished his sermon, he descended from his pulpit, and a ram was brought to him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered it with his hand, and said: In the name of Allah, Allah, is Most Great. This is from me and from those who did not sacrifice from my community.

Benefits and Issues:
➊
It is absolutely correct that one goat suffices on behalf of all the members of a household.
However, for a group of people to offer one goat as sacrifice is a particularity (khasiyyah) specific to the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
➋
If, at times, a pulpit (minbar) is used in the Eid prayer ground (‘idgah),
then it is permissible,
as is mentioned in this hadith.
Furthermore, in Sahih al-Bukhari
and Sahih Muslim, this matter is also mentioned, that when the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) finished the sermon (khutbah), he descended and went towards the women.
(Sahih al-Bukhari, al-‘Idayn, Hadith: 961.
And Sahih Muslim, al-‘Idayn, Hadith: 884)
