Anas bin Malik said “A youth of Aslam said “Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I wish to go on an expedition, but I have no property to make myself equipped. He said “go to so and so Ansari who prepared equipment (for the battle), but he fell ill and tell him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has conveyed his regards to you, and then tell him “Give him all the equipment you have made. He came to him and told him that. He said to his wife “O so and so, give him all the equipment I have made and do not detain anything from him. I swear by Allaah, if you detain anything from him, Allaah will not bless it.

Brief Explanation
1؎: The reasoning from the mentioned hadith for the chapter is as follows: when it is permissible to ask for provisions for jihad at the outset, then it should be even more permissible upon return, as the need at that time is more severe. In the beginning, if a person does not have provisions for the journey, then how can jihad be obligatory upon him?
Explanation & Benefits

Benefits and Issues:

It is necessary that any item or wealth that has been specifically dedicated for Allah,
and if a person is unable to spend it himself,
then he should entrust it to someone else.
Especially, equipment for jihad—there is blessing in spending it and lack of blessing in withholding it.
If an intention of vow (nadhar) or endowment (waqf) has been made regarding such wealth, then it is obligatory to spend it oneself or to give it to someone else.
Otherwise, it is recommended (mustahabb).

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: There are various ways of being engaged with the Noble Qur’an or fulfilling its rights during the day and night. One way is that a person remains occupied with its study and teaching, whether by reading, instructing, learning, or imparting knowledge.
The second way is that he remains engaged in its propagation and dissemination. The third way is that he strives to live his life in accordance with its teachings and guidance, with full thought and diligence. The fourth way is that whenever he finds free time, whether in prayer or outside of it, he remains engaged in its recitation. As for the spending of wealth, it is that whenever there is a legitimate need—whether it pertains to his own person, his family, his relatives, the propagation of the religion, its protection and defense, or the personal and collective needs of the Muslims—he spends generously at every opportunity and occasion.
