Brief Explanation
1؎ : It is understood from this that it is not permissible to kill a person who is in a state of heedlessness. That is why it is said that the incident of the killing of Ka‘b ibn Ashraf occurred before the prohibition of "fatk" (killing in a state of heedlessness) mentioned in this hadith, or that the killing of Ka‘b was due to his breaking of covenants and his continuous lampooning of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and inciting others to do so.
