Al Zuhri said “This tradition has been transmitted to me by Amr bin Abu Sufyan bin Usaid bin Jariyat Al Thaqafi who was an ally of Banu Zuhrah and a companion of Abu Hurairah. He then narrated the tradition. ”
Explanation & Benefits

Benefits and Issues:
➊
Not accepting the protection or captivity offered by disbelievers is an act of resolve, while accepting it is a concession.
➋
As much as possible, one should not let go of the Sunnah of the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), just as Khubaib bin Adiyy (radi Allahu anhu) took care to clean the area below the navel before his martyrdom.
➌
Prayer (salah) is that best deed through which a servant attains closeness to his Lord. And before being killed, it was Khubaib (radi Allahu anhu) who first initiated the practice of performing prayer.
➍
Khubaib (radi Allahu anhu) had killed Harith bin Amir in the Battle of Badr. Harith’s sons arranged to quench the fire of their revenge by martyring Khubaib (radi Allahu anhu). Although killing an opponent in battle is one thing, taking revenge in a state of peace is not correct from any perspective, and no religion endorses this.
