Chapter: Regarding Setting Out On A Journey During The Early Hours Of The Day.

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ حَدِيدٍ ، عَنْ صَخْرٍ الْغَامِدِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِأُمَّتِي فِي بُكُورِهَا " ، وَكَانَ إِذَا بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً أَوْ جَيْشًا بَعَثَهُمْ فِي أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ ، وَكَانَ صَخْرٌ رَجُلًا تَاجِرًا وَكَانَ يَبْعَثُ تِجَارَتَهُ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ فَأَثْرَى وَكَثُرَ مَالُهُ ، قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد : وَهُوَ صَخْرُ بْنُ وَدَاعَةَ .
Narrated Sakhr al-Ghamidi: The Prophet ﷺ said: "O Allah, bless my people in their early mornings. " When he sent out a detachment or an army, he sent them at the beginning of the day. Sakhr was a merchant, and he would send off his merchandise at the beginning of the day; and he became rich and had much wealth. Abu Dawud said: He is Sakhr bin Wada'ah.

Hadith Takhrij « سنن الترمذی/البیوع 6 (1212)، سنن ابن ماجہ/ التجارات 41 (2236)، (تحفة الأشراف: 4852)، وقد أخرجہ: مسند احمد (3/416، 417، 432، 4/384،390، 391)، دی/ السیر 1(2479) (صحیح) » ( حدیث کا پہلا ٹکڑا «اللهم بارك لأمتي في بكورها» شواہد کی وجہ سے صحیح ہے اور سند میں عمارہ بن حدید کی توثیق ابن حبان نے کی ہے جو مجاہیل کی توثیق کرتے ہیں، اور ابن حجر نے مجہول کہا ہے حدیث کے دوسرے ٹکڑے کو البانی صاحب نے ’’الضعیفہ ( 4178) ‘‘ میں شاہد نہ ملنے کی وجہ سے ضعیف کہا ہے جب کہ سنن ابی داود میں پوری حدیث کو صحیح کہا ہے لیکن سنن ابن ماجہ میں تفصیل بیان کردی ہے، نیز اس حدیث کو امام ترمذی نے حسن کہا ہے)

Tirmidhi — Hadith 1212
Sakhr al-Ghamidi (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Allah! Bless my Ummah in its early morning." 1 Sakhr says that whenever the Prophet sent out a detachment or an army, he would send it at the beginning of the day. And Sakhr was a trader. When he would send out his merchandise (with his men), he would send them at the beginning of the day. So he became wealthy and his wealth increased. © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- The hadith of Sakhr al-Ghamidi is Hasan. Other than this hadith, we do not know of any other hadith narrated by Sakhr al-Ghamidi from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
2- In this chapter, there are also ahadith from Ali, Ibn Mas'ud, Buraydah, Anas, Ibn Umar, Ibn Abbas, and Jabir (may Allah be pleased with them).

Explanation:
1:
From this hadith, it is understood that whether the journey is for trade or any other purpose, beginning it in the early part of the day is more beneficial and blessed. At that time, a person is refreshed and possesses abundant energy for action, which becomes a cause for progress and blessing.

(Based on corroborating narrations and supporting reports, this hadith is authentic; otherwise, its narrator "‘Ammarah ibn Jadid" is unknown, and for his mentioned "weak" phrase, there is no corroborating or supporting narration. See: Taraqe‘ al-Albani 277, and Sahih Abi Dawud, ed. Gharas 2345.)

Ibn Majah — Hadith 2236
´It was narrated from Sakhr Al-Ghamidi that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "O Allah, bless my nation in their early mornings (i.e., what they do early in the morning)." (Hasan)He said: "When he sent out a raiding party or an army, he would send them at the beginning of the day." He said: (1) "Sakhr was a man engaged in trade, and he used to send his goods out at the beginning of the day, and his wealth grew and increased."

Benefits and Issues:
(1)
The time of morning is blessed; therefore, it should be spent in beneficial activities and not wasted in heedlessness and sleep.

Opening the shop early in the morning is a source of blessing for the merchant.
