باب فِي الدُّلْجَةِChapter: Traveling At Night.
Hadith 2571

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ ، عَنْ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَلَيْكُمْ بِالدُّلْجَةِ فَإِنَّ الْأَرْضَ تُطْوَى بِاللَّيْلِ " .
Anas reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying “Keep to travelling by night, for the earth is traversed (more easily) by night.

And it is a matter of experience
that travel is accomplished well at night.
In addition, during extremely hot weather, travelers and their mounts find some relief at night.
However, it should be kept in mind that at the time of evening, one should pause for a while,
until it becomes completely dark.
This has been explicitly mentioned in the noble ahadith.
