Hadith 2534

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: Once the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to go on an expedition. He said: O group of the emigrants (Muhajirun) and the helpers (Ansar), among your brethren there are people who have neither property nor family. So one of you should take with him two or three persons; with me. I also rode on my camel by turns like one of them.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
Benefits and Issues:
➊ This selflessness of the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum ajma'in) was evidence of their mutual love purely for the sake of Allah.
➋ Through this, Allah (azza wa jall) granted Islam and the Muslims honor and elevation even in this world.
➌ In jihad, the one who assists another receives a reward equal to that of the mujahid himself.
