Narrated Abu Hurairah: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: What is evil in a man are alarming niggardliness and unrestrained cowardice.

Benefits and Issues:
When both greed and miserliness are combined in a person, this is called (shuh).
The explanation of (hala‘) is given in the Noble Qur’an as follows:
(“Indeed, man was created anxious (hala‘); when evil touches him, impatient; and when good touches him, withholding.”) ( al-Ma‘arij 70:19–21)
Surely, man is created weak of heart; when evil befalls him, he is fretful, and when good comes to him, he withholds (from giving to others).
