Hadith 2487

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ شُفَيٍّ ، عَنْ شُفَيِّ بْنِ مَاتِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ هُوَ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " قَفْلَةٌ كَغَزْوَةٍ " .
Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As: The Prophet ﷺ said: Returning home is like going on an expedition.

Benefits and Issues:
➊ All the deeds of the mujahid become a means of nearness to Allah and elevation of ranks for him.
➋ After returning from jihad, the mujahid prepares again for jihad.
➌ He provides further strength and resources, and takes care of his family members.
➍ Therefore, his return is also, like jihad itself, a source of reward and merit.
