Narrated Ibn Hawalah: The Prophet ﷺ said: It will turn out that you will be armed troops, one is Syria, one in the Yemen and one in Iraq. Ibn Hawalah said: Choose for me, Messenger of Allah, if I reach that time. He replied: Go to Syria, for it is Allah's chosen land, to which his best servants will be gathered, but if you are unwilling, go to your Yemen, and draw water from your tanks, for Allah has on my account taken special charge of Syria and its people.
Explanation & Benefits

Benefits and Issues:
The region of Sham is among the blessed areas.
Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has made it, in addition to Bayt al-Maqdis, a center of His apparent and hidden bounties and blessings. The fertility and prosperity of the region are evident, and inwardly, this land has been the homeland of the Prophets; generally, its people are naturally inclined towards goodness and are followers of the true religion.
In the end times, the descent of ‘Isa (alayhis salam) will also occur in this region.
For this reason, migration towards this area has been encouraged.
The political and non-political tribulations that we observe,
all of these are temporary matters,
and there is no region that is free from them.
These, insha’Allah, will come to an end when the time comes.
