Hadith 2249

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ ، بِهَذَا الْخَبَرِ ، قَالَ : فَكَانَ يُدْعَى يَعْنِي الْوَلَدَ لِأُمِّهِ .
The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Sahl bin Saad Al Saeedi through a different chain of narrators. This version adds the child was attributed to its mother.
