حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَبُو الْأَصْبَغِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : وَالْعَرَقُ مِكْتَلٌ يَسَعُ ثَلَاثِينَ صَاعًا . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد : وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ آدَمَ .
A similar tradition has been transmitted by Ibn Ishaq with a different chain of narrators. But in this version he said ‘Araq is a date-basket holding thirty sa’s. Abu Dawud said “This version is sounder than that of Yahya bin Adam. ”

The (araq) basket’s quantity in these narrations is not sixty sa’ or thirty sa’ as the preferred opinion.
As Shaykh al-Albani rahimahullah has written.
The correct quantity is mentioned in the next narration, that is, fifteen sa’.
Similarly, it is also narrated in Hadith:2393.
