Al-Aslamiyyah said: I said to Uthman ibn Talhah al-Hajabi): What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say to you when he called you? He said: (The Prophet said: ) I forgot to order you to cover the two horns (of the lamb), for it is not advisable that there should be anything in the House (the Kabah) which diverts the attention of the man at prayer. Ibn as-Sarh said: The name of my maternal uncle is Musafi' ibn Shaybah.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
Benefits and Issues:
➊ The two horns refer to the horns of the ram that was sent as a ransom for Isma'il (alayhis salam) for Ibrahim (alayhis salam). These were preserved inside the Ka'bah.
➋ The general rule is that there should not be anything in front of the person praying that may distract his sight or heart. As is mentioned in the hadith in the two Sahihs, that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said regarding his black, patterned cloak: "Take this khamisah (cloak) to Abu Jahm, for it has distracted me just now in my prayer. Bring me an anbijaniyyah (plain) cloak." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Kitab al-Salat, Hadith 373 and Sahih Muslim, Kitab al-Masajid, Hadith 556)
