حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ، وَعَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَقَامَ فِي عُمْرَةِ الْقَضَاءِ ثَلَاثًا " .
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed (at Makkah) for three days during Umrah for atonement ('Umrat al-Qada')

1997. Commentary: There was a restriction for the Muhajirun (emigrants) of Madinah that they should not stay in Makkah for more than three days. For other Muslims, there is no such restriction of any kind—whether they remain or return.
